There are 2 user roles in Composer Online: Editor and Manager.

Editor

The Editor role is fundamental. By default, all the users pretend to be assigned to it. This role allows a user to perform various operations such as:

  • Interact with private and public templates.

  • View and utilize default templates designed using accessible objects according to Salesforce permissions.

  • Generate, modify, and erase private templates and publications.

  • Use default and public templates as blueprints for private templates.

  • Export publications into respective files (PDF, HTML, and ZIP archives) based on the template kind.

However, Editors are not permitted to open or manage Published templates. The only action Editors can take regarding Published templates is to duplicate them. Any duplicated templates become private for that user and are manageable. Moreover, Editors lack the ability to manage Organization settings.

Manager

The Manager role is more advanced, offering broader access and opportunities. Alongside similar activities to the Editor, the Manager can also:

  • View and handle the templates and publications of other team members within the organization.

  • Publish private templates within the organization, making them accessible to all members.

  • Modify Organization settings.
