Text element
Getting started
The Text element is a go-to tool for adding content to templates. It combines static text with dynamic variables to create personalized, data-driven content.
Dynamic variables assignment
To get started:
Double-click the Text element to begin editing.
Add dynamic variables using either:
The Data tab → +Add Dynamic variable
The {} icon in the Text control panel
Text elements must be placed within Collection or Table Containers with a defined Object to enable dynamic variables. Otherwise, the text will function as static text only.
While the Text element appears in both Dynamic and Static tabs, its functionality remains the same regardless of where you add it from.
Supported Data Types
You can map the following field types using Text elements:
Text
Numbers
Date/DateTime
Links
Once mapped, you'll see all available text and numeric fields from your current collection that are ready for use.
If your Collection Container isn't mapped to any data source Object, you won't see any text mapping options.
Mailchimp dynamic tags in Email template
When working with Email templates, you can enhance personalization using Mailchimp tags. Add them through:
Data tab → +Add Mailchimp tag

Text settings
Upon selecting a text in the editor, a control panel becomes visible, offering the following functions:
mapping fields using the wrench icon;
navigating to the element nested within Dynamic Text;
dragging the element across the editor;
duplicating the element;
deleting the element.
After double-clicking, the cursor is activated, and the following control panel becomes available, offering the text to be:
bold
italic
underlined
strikethrough
linked
with dynamic variable
wrapped for style (allows to extract the piece of the text and assign it with the custom styling).
For numeric fields, additional settings are available, including:
number format;
currency format.
By default, the Number format applies the format established in the Organization settings, but it can be customized individually for each numeric field. The "Custom" option provides flexible display options, including thousands and decimals separators, the number of decimals, and text before and after the value. The symbol will be visible in the generated report but not in the template. When the "Custom" option is chosen for the Number format, the Currency format cannot be modified.
Currency format allows for assigning currency symbols such as $, €, and £ before the value. The "Custom" option permits the inclusion of a custom currency symbol via the keyboard.
A mapped Dynamic Text field can serve as the heading for the Table of Contents, offering three heading levels that can be configured in the Data tab.
Additionally, conditions can be applied to the Text element, serving as content replacers to adjust the display of results. The element must be placed into the Collection or Table Containers for this.
Style the text via the Style tab. Dynamic variables can be styled separately and will not be modified with the whole text element afterward.
